Our linen is 100% natural, pre-washed, and incredibly durable. With the right care, your pieces will last for many years and continue to soften and improve over time. Follow these simple tips to ensure their longevity:
Before First Use
You may notice a light manufacturing scent—this is completely normal. If preferred, give your linen a gentle pre-wash before use.
Washing
Wash your linen in cold or warm water (up to 40°C) using a high-quality laundry detergent. Avoid harsh detergents, bleach, or products with high chemical concentrations, as these can damage the fibres.
For best results, lightly fill the washing machine to give your linen room to move. Wash separately the first few times, as natural fibres may shed slightly during initial washes.
Drying
Linen generally dries softer in the dryer than when air-dried. Tumble drying helps break down the fibres slightly (in a good way), which results in a softer, more relaxed feel. Air drying, on the other hand, can sometimes leave linen feeling a bit crisp or stiff—especially if it's dried in direct sunlight or a breezy spot.
That said, air drying is gentler on the fabric over the long term and better for the environment. While air-dried linen might feel a bit crisp at first, it will soften beautifully with use.
It really is a personal preference, but a nice compromise is to air dry until slightly damp and then finish off in the dryer on a low setting to soften it up.
Ironing
We love the naturally relaxed look of linen and usually skip the iron. However, if you prefer a crisper finish—especially for special occasions—use a warm iron on the linen setting.
Additional Notes
A gentle fade over time is natural and part of linen’s charm. To minimise fading, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
Linen is not only beautiful and timeless—it’s also one of the most sustainable and hard-wearing natural materials available. With proper care, your linen will be with you for years to come.
